Ndi Etta, a 2026 linebacker, has committed to Michigan Football, marking a significant addition to the Wolverines' 2026 class. This commitment comes on the heels of a successful official visit, announced on his social media on Sunday afternoon. The 6-foot-1, 215-pound athlete is the younger brother of Michigan defensive lineman Enow Etta, currently playing high school ball at Liberty Christian in Argyle, Texas. His impressive senior year statistics include 68 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, four pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and 20+ quarterback pressures, showcasing his versatility and impact on the field.
Etta's commitment is the second for Michigan's 2026 class since the hire of new head coach Kyle Whittingham, following three-star defensive back Ernest Nunley, who committed on January 20. Both commitments are expected to sign on Wednesday during the February signing period. Interestingly, the former coaching staff had offered Etta in December, and the new coaching staff continued to recruit him, recognizing his potential. According to On3's Ethan McDowell, Michigan views Etta as a versatile defensive prospect, capable of playing outside linebacker and defensive end, securing a valuable player just before signing day.
With 23 recruits committed and 21 already signed, the Wolverines are building a strong foundation for their 2026 class, indicating a promising future for Michigan Football.
